Brooke and Michael were such a fun couple to work with! They had a beautiful September wedding at Zenith Vineyard here in Salem.

They were completely open to whatever design ideas I might have for their wedding stationery. Their few requests were to incorporate their jewel-tone wedding colors, and to incorporate some gold foiling into the invitation.

We first started with Save the Dates (pictured below). Brooke loved the idea of using an envelope liner to bring in the jewel tone florals that she loves, paired with a silver metallic envelope. We kept the design simple and organic with a leafy wreath embellishment and calligraphy inspired fonts.

We brought that same floral pattern into the invitation, but instead used it as a backer for just a subtle pop of it. For the invitation, we did gold foiling on a deep eggplant cardstock. Brooke loved the idea of adding a tag to the invitation, so we printed white ink on gold cardstock and attached to the invitation using a white and gold metallic twine.

We did table numbers for each of the beautiful table settings. Aren’t the flowers to die for??

There were also a few bar signs needed to note the wine and beer selections that were available

Thank you for sharing most of these wonderful threads. In addition, the best travel along with medical insurance approach can often relieve those concerns that come with journeying abroad. Some sort of medical emergency can quickly become very expensive and that’s sure to quickly impose a financial burden on the family finances. Putting in place the great travel insurance bundle prior to setting off is definitely worth the time and effort. ThanksReplyCancel

  • I really enjoyed reading this post. I’ve visted the area a fair bit and it’s nice to see that people can enjoy fundamentally simple acts like camping on the beach – what a shame the police have to patrol! And I’ve done the same thing in revisiting places omy my own to the same aim, with mixed success, and have reached the same conclusion as you! ThanksReplyCancel

Laser jamming is not “obstruction of justice” because speeding is not a “crime”, it is a civil infraction. If it were a “crime” they would have to give you due process including trial by jury, and it would cease to be a money making proposition. There are some states where having a laser jammer is a “crime” (misdemeanor), other states where it is just an infraction itself.ReplyCancel

Last week I had the unique opportunity to host a calligraphy workshop at my studio office, and it was SO much fun! The incredibly talented designer and calligrapher, Katie Hoffman came to share some beginner’s tips and skills. Not only did I get to host, but I was able to participate in the workshop and couldn’t believe how much I learned in just 2 hours.

I feel beyond blessed that I have such a beautiful studio space that I was able to open up to others for the evening. I hope to host another one sometime in the future! By the way, if you need ANY sort of calligraphy done – I would highly recommend you contact Katie Hoffman Ink. She is the sweetest, most accommodating, and unbelievably talented person.

Also, a big thank you to Myriad Cake Design for the amazing cake truffles she provided to the evenings treats, and to Distinctive Designs by Denice for the gorgeous floral arrangements! You made the night even more fun and special =)

I love second hand items for the same reason you do. I imagine the people who loved the things I now love. I wonder what their lives were like, if they were happy or sad. I have a set of torpedo lamps from the 1930s. They don’t put out much light. Sometimes, at night, I turn sit in their dim light and try to picture myself in a different time and place. Sometimes it works. Thanks for stoping by!ReplyCancel

See you can’t do it. You won’t do it. “The new reality” Uh huh. Please answer my question. How would you design a public transport system in a geographically sparse city/low density system such as Auckland. Please note also in your explaination how you get around the fact that workplaces are spread around the city and not concentrated in the CBD.Tell me how it would work practically (and not lose money).ReplyCancel

The people of Europe back then, who were not influenced much by the media were not against Hitler’s views and policies(infact many were in favor of such ideas) but they were against being conquered and losing their sovereignty to another nation. If the people really cared, the railroads to the concentration camps could of had easily been bombed many times yet no attempt was ever made. This has been questioned by quite a few historians of the era.ReplyCancel
