A little while back, we blogged about Pinterest, a new favorite addiction, so I thought it would be fitting to follow last week’s post about inspiration boards with some Pinterest Inspired ideas. If you haven’t signed up for your Pinterest account yet, hop to it! It’s become one of those things, like Pandora or Facebook, that we simply can’t imagine life without!
For those of you who are new to Pinterest, here’s a quick review. You sign up for a free account and then create an account once it’s approved (it’s still in Beta, so it takes a few days). You can then search it’s catalog of a gazillion images to find fresh ideas and inspiration for just about anything, and pin them on ‘pinboards’. It’s a designer’s dream–a very useful tool for collecting images for projects, and of course, for fun. Since it’s part social network, you have followers and see a ‘feed’ of images, making it easy to follow trends. Read more about how it works in our previous Pinterest post.
For those of you already addicted, Pinterest recently released their iPhone app! Pinning on the go, what could be better? You can also take photos of things you love and pin them to your pinboards–no more searching your photo library for that gorgeous pair of shoes or perfect couch you saw the other day! Note that there are a few glitches with the app, but they are working them out.
