South Salem Orthodontics 2012 Calendar

Every year around mid-December, Dr. Carter hands out a calendar to all his colleagues. This is the second time South Salem Orthodontics has hired me to tackle the design. The concept for this calendar was inspired by the photography of Joy St. Claire who has a beautiful collection of vintage photographs. The images can be found on her Etsy shop for purchase here.

In the corners of each calendar page, Dr. Carter wanted handwritten looking text to make it appear as though someone had jotted some notes onto the photo. I added a very subtle textured background, rounded the corners of each photo and let the images take center stage.

We went with a silver wire-o binding to hold all the pages into place

The calendar is designed to “pop out” like a tent when ready to be displayed. The tent is a made with a thick natural colored cardstock.

Each photo includes a month from 2012, with any special holidays highlighted

The back of each calendar contains South Salem Orthodontic’s logo and contact information, so it’s always readily available.

July is my favorite! I love this photo with the red, white and blue carousel top.

The second to last page of the calendar has a full 2013 calendar to reference the upcoming year as we near the end of 2012.

The final page has a brief bio about the photographer, along with all the photos used in the calendar. I’m really excited about how this calendar turned out, and I hope all of Dr. Carter’s colleague’s will enjoy displaying this at their offices throughout 2012!
